Suit: Lounge suitA lounge suit is another name for business suit and usually indicates a semi-formal function. A darker suit with a white shirt and tie are appropriate. On some occasions, if the function is an informal outdoor afternoon affair, then the lounge suit can be more casual, lighter colored, and worn without a tie. But, when in doubt, always dress more formally. For women, a lounge suit normally indicates a shorter length dress or outfit as opposed to a formal floor length gown.

Guest Speaker: Sir John Bond (Wikipedia)

Sir John BondSir John Bond joined the HSBC in 1961. He spent his early career in Hong Kong, Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand and the Middle East. He took over as Group Chairman in 1998. He stepped down as Chairman of HSBC and became the chairman of Vodafone in 2006. During Sir John's tenure as Chairman, HSBC extended its reach well beyond its major fanchises in Hong Kong and Britain. He was knighted in 1999 for his services to banking.

The all-in cost of this event will be £65 per head. this includes the reception and a 3 course dinner with wine at your table. No tickets will be issued. Dress will be lounge suits and seats are limited due to security purposes.

This event is exclusive for ACfPU and Hong Kong Society members and a perfect dinner event if you wish to Networking with top senior people also members from the Hong Kong Society. the Hong Kong Association and society is to act as a focus in the UK for nurturing and promotion of the long-standing and special links between the Hong Kong SAR and UK, including over hundred memberships from famous enterprises such as FT group, Cilfford Chance LLP, PWC, Rolls-Royces plc, UBS and etc. Stephen Green (Group chairman HSBC), Gerard Lyons (Chief economist Standard Chartered Bank), Michael Miles (Chairman Schroders plc) are all sitting on the Committee board.
